Among those killed in the explosion at the Balzi Rossi restaurant in central Moscow on August 1 was Danilo Peredriy, the son-in-law of Alexander Chaika, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
This was reported by Russian media outlets, including the publication “Agency.” According to media reports, Peredriy’s death is confirmed by the fact that one of his personal documents was declared invalid on August 1. In addition, information about his death appeared in Russia’s Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs.
As noted by Russian media, the explosion at the Balzi Rossi restaurant occurred on August 1 during a private, closed-door event, which was presumably held to celebrate the 55th birthday of Russian Aerospace Forces Commander Alexander Chaika. Earlier, Russian media and Telegram channels had speculated that he might have been the intended target of the attack.
According to the official version of the Russian Federation’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee, an unidentified woman attempted to smuggle a homemade explosive device, disguised as a gift, into the restaurant. According to Russian sources, five people were killed in the explosion, and another 21 were injured.
