Israeli police seize more than 60 kg of substances that may be drugs — Jerusalem Post
Israeli police detained two suspects on September 22 after raids in the central part of the country and seized more than 60 kilograms of substances that, according to law enforcement, may be drugs. The Jerusalem Post reports.
Raids in central Israel
In the first case, law enforcement detained a 44-year-old resident of northern Israel. During a morning search of his apartment, they found more than 20 kg of a substance suspected of being cannabis, as well as more than 500 grams of a substance believed to be cannabis oil.
In addition, police seized electronic scales, several mobile phones and a scooter. According to law enforcement, these items may have been used to store and distribute drugs from the apartment.

The same day, a local resident in his 20s was detained in Petah Tikva. During a raid on his apartment, more than 40 kg of substances that police suspect may have contained cocaine, MDMA, ecstasy and cannabis were found. Investigators believe the apartment may have been used to store, prepare and distribute drugs.
Operations near Jerusalem and in the West Bank
Separately, Israeli police reported two operations against alleged drug-trafficking centers in the Jerusalem area and the West Bank. In Area A of the West Bank, after Palestinian police detained a 48-year-old Israeli man in Bethlehem, law enforcement seized his car, more than 17,000 tramadol tablets and over 170,000 Captagon tablets.
In the moshav of Ahisamakh in the Jerusalem area, police seized a car containing a large quantity of substances which, according to police, included cocaine, ecstasy, MDMA and ketamine. Law enforcement estimated their total value at approximately 90 million shekels.
