Nepal police report dam breach on Tibetan side
Nepal police reported that a water dam on the Tibetan side of the Himalayas has burst again. As YLE News reports, citing Reuters and AFP, the dammed lake has begun overflowing, and a new disaster threatens the flood-hit area in Nepal.
Nepalese authorities issued a warning and urged people to move to higher ground. Nepal police said they had received information about another dam breach on the Tibetan side.
Rescue operations suspended
On Friday morning, Chinese and Nepalese authorities suspended rescue operations due to conditions at the site. Helicopter rescue operations were also halted in the flood-affected district of Rasuwa.

Call to remain vigilant
Nepal police urged security service personnel, rescuers, participants in rescue and humanitarian operations, and the public to remain vigilant. They were advised to immediately move to a safe place.
