The police have announced more than 180 charges related to tax evasion schemes involving the Tax Control Commission and the Tax Audit Commission

Since the beginning of 2026, the National Police has uncovered dozens of cases of misconduct at regional recruitment and social support centers, as well as at military medical commissions and expert teams that assess health and fitness for service.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the schemes involved evading mobilization and receiving illicit benefits for “resolving issues” related to conscription. The bribes amounted to as much as $25,000.

Forty indictments against 51 individuals have already been sent to court, and 23 verdicts have been handed down.

In addition, law enforcement officials are reviewing decisions made by the Military Medical Commission (VLC) and the Medical and Social Examination Commission (MSEC) during the period of martial law (2023–2026). Approximately 80,000 decisions have been submitted for review, of which more than 10,000 have already been overturned, including 1,478 in 2026.

A formerunit commander in the Khmelnytskyi region is suspected of involvement in a draft evasion scheme.

Large-scale schemes to evade mobilization have been uncovered in eight regions.

The SBU uncovered a scheme toavoid mobilization through fictitious lyceums.

As a reminder, the organizer of a scheme to smuggle draft dodgers out of the country for $12,000 was detained in Kyiv.

Also, an employee of the Territorial Recruitment Center in Chernihiv Oblast was detained for bribery.
