Police have linked the death of a man in Wales to a rivalry between motorcycle clubs

The Gwent Police believe that members of two rival motorcycle clubs—the Vikings and the Hells Angels—may have been involved in the altercation in Pontnewynid near Pontypool, which resulted in the death of 56-year-old Anthony “Tony” Jones of Brecon, members of two rival motorcycle clubs—the Vikings and the Hells Angels—may have been involved. Jones died in the hospital from injuries sustained during the violence that occurred last Thursday evening. According to the publication, knives and hammers may have been used during the clash, which involved at least 12 men. Armed police officers, a police helicopter, and ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene.

Three people were taken to the hospital; at least one of them was in critical condition. Police arrested ten men aged 31 to 73; seven of them remained in custody at the time of publication.

Detective Superintendent Laura Bartley of the Gwent Police, the lead investigator in the case, stated that law enforcement officials are establishing the full circumstances of the incident, including the actions and movements of those involved before, during, and after the altercation. Police noted that the murder investigation is in its early stages.

Law enforcement also urged 40-year-old Anthony Paul Jones of Blenafon to come forward as part of the investigation and is searching for a blue Ford Transit with license plate number MA23 FLC. A police cordon remains in place near the British Legion club in Pontnevinid, where the fight took place, to allow for forensic work. The local council reported that nearby Hospital Road may remain closed until the weekend.
