Rob Reiner's son has been charged with the murder of his parents
A grand jury has indicted 32-year-old Nick Reiner on first-degree murder charges in the deaths of his parents—director and actor Rob Reiner and photographer Michelle Singer Reiner. This was reported by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, according to The Guardian.
According to the prosecution, in December, Nick Reiner fatally stabbed the couple at their home in Brentwood and then fled the scene. He was arrested shortly thereafter and charged with murder. He has been held without bail ever since.
The new indictment includes two counts of murder and an aggravating circumstance—murder by ambush. Nick Rainer has pleaded not guilty. If convicted, he could face the death penalty, though prosecutors have not yet indicated whether they will seek that punishment.

Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman stated that the grand jury’s decision should bring the case closer to trial and the delivery of justice. A trial date has not yet been set.
