The Polish Confederation party is calling for Ukraine's accession to the European Union to be blocked — RMF24

Krzysztof Bosak, Deputy Speaker of the Polish Sejm and leader of the far-right Confederation party, issued a strong call to block Ukraine’s European integration

The reason for this statement was the Ukrainian government’s official decision to grant an honorary title to a military unit of the Special Operations Forces.

The Polish politician is demanding that the Polish government immediately review its diplomatic strategy and take radical economic and political steps against Kyiv.

According to Bosak, Poland must first and foremost declare that it will block Ukraine’s accession to the European Union until Kyiv “renounces the cult of criminals and fully unblocks all exhumations” of victims of the Volhynia tragedy.

His harsh reaction followed immediately after Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s decree awarding the honorary title “in the name of the Heroes of the UPA” to the “North” Special Operations Center.

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament is convinced that the current policy of good neighborliness is not yielding the desired results for the Polish side.

The politician emphasized that Poland’s ruling coalition parties, with their soft stance, have created a situation in which “contempt for Polish politicians prevails” in Ukraine.

In his view, the current diplomatic approach demonstrates Warsaw’s weakness in the face of its neighbors on the international stage.

“They are seen as weak. They believe they can carry out any provocation. It will not elicit any reaction,” Krzysztof Bosak emphasized during a radio broadcast.

To create a real and effective tool for influencing the Ukrainian leadership, the leader of the “Confederation” proposes using significant financial leverage.

In particular, he called on the Polish government to completely stop paying for Starlink satellite communications, which Ukrainian defenders use on the front lines.

“If we want to exert real pressure on Ukraine, we need to move toward more concrete actions that will have an effective impact,” the Polish official stated.
