Poland scrambled its air force in response to the Russian attack on Ukraine
On September 10, an alert was issued in the eastern regions of Poland due to another Russian airstrike on Ukraine. Polish aircraft were deployed in the country’s airspace.
After 2:30 p.m. local time, Poland’s Government Security Center alerted residents to an increased threat. The agency noted that the situation is under control and that the Polish Air Force is carrying out missions in the country’s airspace.
The alert was issued to residents of the Lublin and Podkarpackie provinces, which are located near the border with Ukraine.
Poland has already scrambled military aircraft on multiple occasions in response to Russian strikes on Ukraine. These measures are intended to ensure the security of Polish airspace and readiness for potential threats.
