Poland introduces Lynx camouflage for its military — RMF24
Poland’s Ministry of National Defence has unveiled a new uniform design for the country’s Armed Forces. The main change will be the “Lynx” camouflage pattern, which is set to gradually replace the models currently in use, including the Pattern 93 “Panther,” RMF24 reports.
Five colors for different terrain
The new camouflage was developed in cooperation with service members of Poland’s Special Operations Forces. According to the Ministry of National Defence, their combat and overseas mission experience was taken into account when creating the pattern.
“Lynx” consists of irregular patches in five colors. Their size and placement are intended to replicate the colors and shadows of natural terrain irregularities, grass, shrubs, and forest cover characteristic of Poland.

The replacement will take place gradually
Poland’s defense ministry stated that the new pattern is intended to provide camouflage in both forested and built-up areas. In addition to the camouflage, the new uniform includes a change in cut.
The re-equipment will take place in stages and will cover all branches of Poland’s Armed Forces. Initially, individual units will receive uniforms with the “Lynx” camouflage, and it is expected to eventually replace all previous designs.
