The Spanish Prime Minister announced the approval of the legalization of half a million immigrants

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has announced a major reform that will grant legal status to approximately 500,000 immigrants.

The head of government emphasized that this step is necessary to “normalize and acknowledge reality,” as these people have long been part of Spanish society.

The Spanish government is expected to approve the corresponding royal decree as early as this Wednesday. The document will launch the official legalization process for foreigners currently residing in the country without proper legal status.

Pedro Sánchez is convinced that this decision is an act of social justice and an economic necessity for the state.

“We recognize rights, but we also demand responsibilities,” the prime minister emphasized in his address to the public.

The main goal of the reform is to ensure that people who participate in the country’s daily life are treated on equal terms with others.

This will allow migrants to work legally, pay taxes, and access social benefits.

The Prime Minister clearly outlined his position on migration policy, contrasting it with radical views. He noted that there are two paths: to sow fear and isolation, or to respond to migration responsibly.

Sánchez condemned the actions of those who try to pit people against one another for political gain.

In his view, migration “is a reality that must be addressed responsibly,” ensuring the fair integration of foreigners.

He emphasized that Spain is consciously choosing the path of prosperity by bringing new members of society into the legal framework. This decision is intended to promote economic development and strengthen social stability in the country.
