Polish President Nawrocki plans visit to Argentina for G20 — Interia
Polish President Karol Nawrocki plans to visit Argentina after a scheduled trip to Saudi Arabia. The purpose of the visit is expected to be convincing the Argentine authorities to support Poland’s aspiration for permanent membership in the G20 group, Interia reports.
Support from Global South countries
Argentina is a member of the G20. As the outlet notes, the trip to South America is part of a diplomatic plan by the Polish presidential office aimed at strengthening the country’s role in this group. The Polish side is holding talks with countries of the so-called Global South to weaken the argument that Europe is overrepresented in the G20.
