This prophecy is linked to the year 2027: allegedly, a mysterious disease or a genetic experiment will lead to the emergence of people with superhuman abilities. It should be noted that the alleged prophecy does not provide details on exactly how these superhumans will come into being or what they will be like—this has given rise to theories ranging from secret genetic editing to biological warfare.
For example, some experts argue that biological changes will likely affect only certain people following exposure to a new disease or some form of genetic experiment. However, there is no mention of whether people will gain superpowers or extraordinary intelligence, resistance to disease, or abilities not previously documented by medicine. It also remains unclear whether this event will result from a natural outbreak, an accidental laboratory leak, or a deliberate attempt to alter human biology.
Claims regarding the prophecy for 2027 have surfaced against the backdrop of Vanga’s followers believing that three more of her prophecies are set to come true this year. It should be noted that there were five prophecies in total, two of which have allegedly already come true. The last three are reportedly linked to the arrival of a massive spaceship, the outbreak of World War III, and a drastic change in Russia’s leadership by the end of 2026.
Vanga left no written records of her prophecies, so most of them have been passed down to us by her niece Krasimira Stoyanova or other followers who documented her alleged visions after her death and who have been accused of misinterpreting her words.
It is known that Vanga was born in 1911; her real name was Vangelia Pandeva Dimitrova, and she was known as a blind Bulgarian mystic, psychic, clairvoyant, and herbalist. She lost her sight at the age of 12 after being caught in a tornado—it is believed that it was around this time that Vanga acquired her psychic abilities.
Throughout her life, Vanga made numerous prophecies. However, most of them are vague and concern natural disasters, political changes, and future technologies. It is believed that Vanga was able to predict events such as the sinking of the submarine “Kursk,” Brexit, and the rise of ISIS. But perhaps her most famous prophecy is the one about the collapse of the Twin Towers in New York on September 11, 2001.

- humanity will make contact with extraterrestrial life after a massive spaceship enters Earth’s atmosphere—expected in November 2026;
- The start of World War III—the interpretation suggests that China will attempt to seize Taiwan, while tensions between Russia and the U.S. will escalate into direct military conflict;
- The latest prophecy predicts that there will be a drastic change in Russia’s leadership by the end of the year.
