Russia must be held accountable for its crimes in Bucha and Irpin — Berset
Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset emphasized the need to punish those responsible for Russia’s crimes in Bucha and Irpin.
This is stated in the Secretary General’s post on X.
"Four years after the atrocities in Bucha and Irpin, we remember the victims. These crimes are the result of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. The Council of Europe continues to seek to hold those responsible to account and restore justice," Berset stated.
The Secretary General of the Council of Europe emphasized: there can be no impunity.
Police have identified 98% of those killed in Bucha and established the names of 2,500 occupiers.
A double terrorist attack occurred near a residential building in Bucha this morning; police officers were injured.
The EU Council adopted a decision to impose sanctions against nine individuals involved in crimes against the civilian population in Bucha during the Russian occupation in 2022.
