Russia accused the Baltic states of planning mass deportations of Russian speakers
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has claimed that the Baltic states are allegedly preparing for “mass deportations” of Russian-speaking residents. This statement was made by Grigory Lukyantsev, director of the Department for Multilateral Cooperation on Human Rights at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to him, the authorities in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia are allegedly seeking to “finally resolve the Russian issue” and the problem of statelessness. The Russian Foreign Ministry also announced its intention to appeal to the International Court of Justice over alleged systematic violations of the rights of ethnic Russians in the Baltic states.
At the same time, the Russian side has not provided any evidence of preparations for mass deportations.

During a speech at the “United Russia” party congress, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin delivered yet another round of propaganda claims regarding the war in Ukraine and the domestic political situation in Russia. The Kremlin leader assured those present that the situation currently remains completely “under control” and that Western countries are incapable of defeating Russia on the battlefield.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs dismissed Putin’s statements and cited the actual losses suffered by Russia.
