Senator Blumenthal hopes for a positive response from Trump to Zelenskyy's letter

U.S. Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal stated that he expects a positive response from the United States to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s appeal regarding defense needs. He described the content of the Ukrainian leader’s letter as a clear and substantive appeal to the American side.

After visiting a destroyed shopping center and residential building in Kyiv, the American politician stated that Russia’s attacks are directed against the civilian population. Blumenthal emphasized that Putin shows no mercy in his actions and deliberately targets civilians, so support for Ukraine must remain a priority for Congress and the U.S. administration.
