Russia's largest aviation holding company has announced that civilian airports have been seized by the military
An appeal to Putin has appeared on the website of Russia’s largest aviation holding company, “Airports of the Regions,” complaining about the use of civilian airports by Russian military forces.
This was reported by the publication “Vot Tak.”
The letter was allegedly published on behalf of the holding’s CEO, Yevgeny Chudnovsky.
The appeal states that Russian security forces are “arbitrarily seizing” the infrastructure of civilian airports and stationing military equipment, combat aircraft, and ammunition there.
Among the airports mentioned are Koltsovo in Yekaterinburg and Kurumoch in Samara.

The author of the letter also described a “heavy atmosphere of fear” among airport employees and systematic pressure from security forces.
According to him, employees are being forced to perform tasks that are unrelated to their professional duties.
After the letter was published, the “Airports of the Regions” website became inaccessible, though archived copies of the page containing the letter remain.
