Xi Jinping returns to Beijing after SCO summit and visits to Kyrgyzstan and Egypt
According to ECNS, Chinese President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing on Thursday after attending the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Bishkek. Before returning, he completed state visits to Kyrgyzstan and Egypt.
Delegation's return
Xi Jinping's wife Peng Liyuan, Cai Qi and Wang Yi returned to the Chinese capital on the same flight.

Members of the trip
Cai Qi is a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee. Wang Yi is a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and serves as China's foreign minister.
The report states that Xi Jinping visited Bishkek to attend the 2026 SCO summit and also paid state visits to Kyrgyzstan and Egypt. ECNS provides no further details about the summit, the visits or the delegation's return.
