According to media reports, in response, Tehran has allegedly agreed to restore commercial shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz to pre-war levels within a month. An option for joint control of shipping in the strait by Iran and Oman is also being discussed. However, these agreements do not cover military vessels.
It is reported that if the parties reach a final agreement within 60 days, the document could gain international legal force through a UN Security Council resolution.
