The U.S. has demanded that Iran hand over enriched uranium — CNN

Washington has presented Tehran with five conditions for resuming dialogue, including the transfer of 400 kilograms of enriched uranium to the United States. In return, the United States is also insisting on a series of additional restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program and a cessation of hostilities.

This was reported by the Iranian news agency Fars.

In addition to the transfer of uranium, the U.S. insists that Iran renounce any compensation payments, maintain operations at only one nuclear facility, refuse to unfreeze even 25% of Iranian assets, and cease all hostilities.

Against this backdrop, according to CNN sources, President Donald Trump is becoming increasingly frustrated with the negotiation process and is seriously considering the possibility of resuming the war. According to the network, Trump is “losing patience” due to the ongoing blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and divisions within the Iranian leadership that are hindering progress on the nuclear program.

Trump called Tehran’s latest proposal “absolutely unacceptable” and “stupid.” At the same time, according to CNN, there are disagreements within the White House: the Pentagon advocates a more aggressive approach, proposing new strikes to further weaken Iran’s position.

Earlier, Trump announced the continuation of the military campaign against Iran

The U.S. Central Command stated that Iran has been significantly weakened following the conflict with the United States and is no longer capable of operating with its former military might. Officials in Washington assert that strikes on Iran’s infrastructure and allies will have long-term consequences.

The Strait of Hormuz has once again come to a near standstill

The U.S. military also struck the vessel Touska, which was attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz under the Iranian flag despite the blockade.

Recall that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not consider the war with Iran to be over.
