The launch dates for the Druzhba oil pipeline have been announced

Ukraine’s energy infrastructure is preparing for the resumption of oil transit, which had been suspended due to extensive damage.

During a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that repair work on the Druzhba oil pipeline has reached its final stage.

According to the head of state, restoring the pipeline’s operational capacity is critically important for the stability of the entire European region.

“By the end of April, the Druzhba pipeline will be repaired and resume operations,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured during a press conference in Berlin.

It is worth recalling that the transit stoppage occurred following a series of strikes in late January 2026.

At that time, an enemy drone struck a tank containing 25,000 cubic meters of oil, destroying the control system and flow sensors, which made further operation impossible.

Zelenskyy clarified that the current focus is specifically on restarting the transportation system, rather than on a complete overhaul of all the destroyed supporting infrastructure.

This will allow for the resumption of raw material supplies to countries such as Hungary and Slovakia, which are heavily dependent on this route.

Separately, the head of state touched on the topic of political changes in Europe, particularly the recent parliamentary elections in Hungary, where the opposition party “Tisa” won.

“In Hungary, light triumphed over darkness in the elections,” he commented emotionally on the results of the neighboring nation’s vote.
