Tallinn Marathon to change traffic on September 12–13, 2026
In Tallinn, Estonia, traffic will be temporarily restricted and public transport routes changed on September 12 and 13 due to the Tallinn Marathon and the Tallinna Sügisjooks race, ERR News reports.
The races will bring thousands of participants to city streets. Traffic will be blocked or disrupted along the competition route, including on Paldiski maantee, Ristiku tänav, Kolde puiestee, Kopli, Tööstuse tänav, Kalaranna tänav and Toompuiestee, as well as in the Stroomi and Rocca al Mare areas.
Changes on Saturday
On Saturday, September 12, from the start of service until 19:00, buses on routes 2, 3, 8, 35, 40, 41, 59 and 66, as well as trolleybuses 81, 84 and 85, will operate on detours. Trams T1 and T5 will not operate from 9:15 to 16:15. Route T2 will be shortened to Linnahall during this time, while T6 will operate on a modified route. Bus No. 73 will not run from 13:30 to 16:00.

Restrictions on Sunday
On Sunday, September 13, buses 2, 3, 4, 8, 22, 24A, 35, 40, 41, 42, 54, 59 and 66 and trolleybuses 81, 84 and 85 will operate on detours from the start of service until 16:30. Trams T1 and T5 will not run from 8:30 to 16:00, T2 will travel only to Linnahall, and route T6 will be modified. Bus No. 73 will not operate from 8:00 to 10:00, while from 10:00 to 13:30 the routes of buses 36, 54 and 61 will additionally be adjusted.
Bus and trolleybus routes operating on detours or crossing the race course will run on a flexible schedule. The locations of some stops may change, and the walking distance to them may increase. Access for residents, emergency services and local service vehicles will be allowed depending on assessments and the instructions of traffic controllers.
