Trump Is Ready to Resume Meetings with Putin After a Peace Agreement Is Reached
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he is ready to meet again with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin if Ukraine and Russia are willing to reach a peace agreement to end the war.
At the same time, the U.S. president once again cited the “enormous animosity” between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Putin as one of the main obstacles to ending the war.
“They need to end this stupid war,” Trump said.
The U.S. president also reiterated that he had allegedly managed to stop eight wars, some of which, he said, were more difficult to resolve than the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Trump did not specify exactly which conflicts he was referring to.
Trump announced this on his social media account.
The U.S. Senate demanded an explanation regarding the closure of Trump’s bank accounts.
Trump proposed renaming the Strait of Hormuz the “Trump Strait.”
The EU has published a full list of new sanctions against Russia.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry called for tougher sanctions following Russia’s attack on a tanker near Romania.
The EU will impose sanctions against Belarusian oil refineries for supplying gasoline to Russia.
