Trump calls Obama’s remarks about women-led governments nonsensical — The Hill
In the United States, President Donald Trump criticized remarks by former President Barack Obama about the possible consequences if women led all governments in the world for two years. The Hill reports.
Obama’s remarks
Last week, during an event at Salem State University, Obama said that during his years as president, he sometimes imagined a situation in which women led every government in the world for about two years. He suggested looking at what the situation would be like after such a period.
According to Obama, he is convinced that the world would not become perfect, but the situation would be better.

Trump’s reaction
On Saturday, a journalist asked Trump about his predecessor’s remarks. The president said that he loves women and considers them wonderful, but called Obama’s assessment nonsensical. He also told the journalist that, in his view, the journalist would agree with that characterization as well.
The Hill notes that Trump and Obama have repeatedly exchanged sharp statements over the past decade. The outlet also recalled that Trump had previously promoted the false claim that Obama was not born in the United States. In June, Obama said that, in his view, Trump has an obsession with him.
