Trump explained why he needed $200 billion for the war he supposedly won

U.S. President Donald Trump justified the need to allocate $200 billion by citing the complex state of international security, despite his statements that the war was nearing its end. 

Speaking to reporters on March 23, 2026, he noted that having such resources is always advisable, as the world is currently in a state of high tension. Trump accused representatives of the Democratic Party of fueling conflicts and added that the terrorist group ISIS is once again gaining confidence on the international stage.

Responding to a question about the appropriateness of such spending, the American leader emphasized that it is the actions of his political opponents that are destabilizing the situation. According to him, maintaining a significant financial reserve is a necessary security measure in a context where global threats continue to grow. This statement came amid negotiations between the U.S. and Iran, as well as Russia’s ongoing aggression, which is forcing the world’s leading nations to review their defense budgets and readiness strategies.
