Trump said he would end the tenth war between Lebanon and Israel
U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he could act as a mediator in resolving yet another international conflict—between Lebanon and Israel. He announced an agreement on a brief ceasefire intended to kickstart negotiations. He posted this on his social media platform, Truth Social.
According to him, the countries have agreed to a ten-day ceasefire, which is intended to create conditions for further diplomatic consultations. This decision, it is claimed, is part of U.S. mediation efforts.
Trump highlighted his experience in resolving international crises and stated that he expects a positive outcome this time as well. “It has been an honor for me to resolve nine wars around the world, and this will be my tenth, so let’s do it,” he wrote.
At this point, official representatives of Israel and Lebanon have not released detailed information regarding the agreements or terms of the ceasefire, but reports of the negotiations indicate a cautious move toward reducing tensions between the parties.
As a reminder, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the first meeting in decades between the leaders of Israel and Lebanon could take place as early as April 17.
