U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States will obtain Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium one way or another. At the same time, he warned that if the negotiations fail, this could happen “in a far less friendly manner.”
CNN reported this.
When asked about the possible timeline for removing the materials, which he referred to as “nuclear dust,” Trump declined to give specific dates.
“Obviously, I’m not going to give you a timeline, except to say that if we sign a deal, then I’ll be able to give you a timeline: sometime after the deal is signed, we’ll go to Iran, and we’ll take it all, and we’ll bring 100% of it back to the United States,” he said.
At the same time, the U.S. president emphasized that the U.S. will obtain the relevant Iranian reserves in any case.
“If we don’t do this, we’ll get it in another form, in a much more hostile form. But in any case, we’ll get it,” Trump stated.
