Trump invited Xi Jinping to visit the U.S. in September
U.S. President Donald Trump has invited Chinese leader Xi Jinping to visit the United States and hold a meeting at the White House in September.
CNBC reported this.
The invitation was extended during a state banquet in Beijing organized by the Chinese side in honor of the American president.
During his speech, Trump thanked Xi for hosting the American delegation and invited him to Washington on September 24.
It is expected that this visit could take place during the UN General Assembly in New York, when world leaders traditionally travel to the U.S.
As a reminder, Trump arrivedin China for the first time in nearly a decade.
Donald Trump is heading to China for talks with Xi Jinping, where the two sides plan to discuss trade, energy, and Taiwan, against the backdrop of a tense global situation.
