Trump Made Millions of Dollars Thanks to the U.S.-Iran War, According to CNBC

U.S. President Donald Trump has investments in the nine largest oil and gas companies. Over the six months of the war with Iran, the rise in the value of these assets could have earned him between $1.5 million and $4.4 million.

According to CNBC, journalists analyzed the value of Trump’s assets during the period from February 27, when the war with Iran began, to August 31, 2026.

The journalists identified nine assets in which Trump has investments. These include shares in the following companies:

Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Kinder Morgan, Marathon Petroleum, Occidental Petroleum, Phillips 66, Valero Energy, and Williams Companies.

As the stock prices of these energy companies rose, the value of the U.S. president’s assets increased by approximately $1.5 million to $4.4 million.

This wide range is due to the fact that Trump’s financial disclosure report lists asset values as ranges rather than their exact market valuations.

The U.S. president’s financial reports indicate that at least 23 purchases and sales of shares in nine companies took place by June 29. This is the latest date as of which Trump disclosed information about his transactions.

At the same time, the documents do not specify the exact number of shares bought or sold, the price of specific transactions, or the exact composition of the holdings that remain in the president’s possession.

As a result, the estimates provided by journalists do not reflect Trump’s actual profits and do not allow for an accurate determination of the number of shares he owns.

CNBC notes that it found no evidence that Trump or his investment managers entered into transactions with prior knowledge of the president’s future decisions.

Nor did the journalists find any evidence that Trump’s personal financial interests influenced his political decisions or that he issued orders to carry out specific stock transactions.

At the same time, the publication emphasizes that these financial documents serve as yet another example of Trump’s ownership of multimillion-dollar assets in an industry directly linked to his administration’s military and diplomatic decisions.

Senior White House officials discussed with U.S. President Donald Trump a scenario in which a war with Iran could last until the end of his presidential term. If this were to happen, the conflict could potentially continue even after the inauguration of the new U.S. president in January 2029.

In Israel, Dvora Sharifian Bahar, a Knesset candidate for the Yashar party, stated that the country is capable of defeating Iran under a government led by former Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot. She made these remarks during the presentation of the party’s electoral list in Rosh HaAyin.

In the U.S., top White House advisers privately warned President Donald Trump that the conflict with Iran could last until the end of his presidential term in January 2029.
