Three injured dogs continue search after mudslide in Gyirong
According to ECNS, three search-and-rescue dogs with abrasions on their paws continue working at the site of a mudslide in the Gyirong port area of the Xizang Autonomous Region. The animals sustained injuries after several days of searching for missing people in difficult terrain.
The dogs received medical care
During the operation, the dogs wore out their protective boots and suffered abrasions on their paws. Despite this, they remained with the rescue teams. The animals received medical care to ensure their safety during further searches.

Search-and-rescue operations are complicated by rugged terrain, thick mud, dense gravel and hard surfaces. Low temperatures and dense fog also persist in the area, while frequent secondary natural hazards pose an additional danger.
