Turkey’s Roketsan tests Sungur missile from mobile Burc system
Turkish defense company Roketsan successfully conducted a test launch of a Sungur missile from the Burc mobile air defense system. During the test, the missile destroyed a moving target, Anadolu Agency reports.
Testing of the Burc system
According to the agency, this launch marked a new stage in the development of Roketsan’s layered air defense capabilities. Burc is a next-generation air defense system that combines the Sungur missile, a 20/30 mm gun, as well as active and passive sensors.

Sungur capabilities
Sungur is a man-portable air defense system designed to protect mobile and stationary units and facilities on the battlefield at short ranges. Its range exceeds eight kilometers. The system was also developed with the possibility of integration onto various platforms.
