A Turkish ship successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz
The Ocean Thunder, a vessel owned by a Turkish company, safely crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday evening and completed its exit from the Persian Gulf.
This was reported by Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, as quoted by Anadolu.
Uraloğlu noted that the ministry is closely monitoring developments in the Strait of Hormuz and tracking Turkish-owned vessels and Turkish sailors in the region in real time.
“With this passage, the number of Turkish-owned vessels in the Strait of Hormuz area has decreased to 12, and the number of vessels awaiting exit has dropped to eight,” the minister reported.
Uraloğlu assured that his ministry continues to make every effort to ensure the safe passage of the eight vessels currently seeking to leave the region.
He added that the ministry will continue to closely monitor Turkish-owned vessels and Turkish sailors in the region in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant agencies.

It is worth noting that the Iranian Embassy in Malaysia stated that the first ship from the country has passed through the critical waterway in the Persian Gulf since the start of the war.
“We said that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not forget its friends,” the embassy wrote in a social media post.

As a reminder, a Frenchship crossed the Strait of Hormuz for the first time since the start of the war in Iran.
Russia, China, and France blocked a military resolution regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
As a reminder, the United Kingdom is organizing a virtual meeting with representatives from 35 countries to discuss ways to restore shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the idea of unblocking the Strait of Hormuz by military force is unrealistic. According to him, such a scenario would only prolong the conflict and create even greater risks for everyone. Paris insists: the solution lies in negotiations with Iran, not in military operations.
U.S. partners are concerned that Donald Trump may halt the operation against Iran and not pursue the reopening of the strategic waterway.
