Kites flown in 11 Dutch cities in support of children in Gaza
Events in support of children in Gaza were held in 11 cities across the Netherlands on Saturday, during which participants flew kites. In Rotterdam, people gathered at Noordereiland Square to express solidarity with the children of Gaza.
Events in the Netherlands
According to Anadolu Agency, the events were organized by the Plant an Olive Tree Foundation. According to the agency, the organizers sought to draw attention to attacks on Gaza and protested against Israeli threats of displacement and attacks on Palestinians over kites launched from the enclave. These were kites that landed in Israeli settlements near the border.

Kites in Palestinian colors
Participants in the Rotterdam event, including children and adults, decorated kites with Palestinian flags and colors. They also placed the slogans “Free Palestine” and “Save Gaza” on them.
During the event, kites made in the shape and colors of the Palestinian flag were flown. After the demonstration ended, participants handed out leaflets to inform the public about the situation in Gaza.
