In Australia, Bushfires NT issued an emergency warning due to a bushfire on Stockwell Road in Blackmore, west of Berry Springs. People who are not prepared for the fire were advised to leave the area immediately. This was reported by ABC News.

Fire heading towards Miland Road

According to Bushfires NT, the fire has affected structures and is moving towards Miland Road and Tui Close. Residents in the area were advised to immediately implement their bushfire survival plan.

Authorities are working to contain the fire in Blackmore, located about an hour's drive south of Darwin.

Warning for Katherine East

Meanwhile, a “watch and act” alert was issued for the Uralla Road area in Katherine East due to another rapidly spreading fire. Residents were urged to take action now to protect themselves and their property.

This fire is moving towards the Victoria Highway between the rail corridor and Uralla Road. Residents south of Bicentennial Drive were also advised to implement their bushfire survival plan. In addition, the 24-hour fire ban in the Top End region was extended for the following day.
