J.D. Vance announced a new phase in the war with Iran
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that the war with Iran could enter a “completely different phase” within the next few months. He also agreed with U.S. President Donald Trump, who linked a possible shift in the current phase of the conflict to the period following the midterm elections.
According to J.D. Vance, it is impossible to predict with certainty how the war will unfold.
At the same time, the U.S. vice president considers it realistic that the situation surrounding the conflict with Iran could change significantly in the coming months.
“We cannot predict the future, but I think the president is right when he says that in a few months, all of this will enter a completely different phase,” Vance said.
The vice president also emphasized that it is the U.S. president, as commander-in-chief, who makes decisions regarding the start and end of military operations.
According to Vance, the U.S. government is not currently conducting offensive operations against Iran.
At the same time, he acknowledged that there is some dissatisfaction among Americans regarding the duration of the conflict. The vice president emphasized, however, that the U.S. does not consider its current actions to be aggressive operations.
Vance also stated that Iran periodically opens fire on commercial vessels. According to him, most of these attacks fail to achieve their intended targets.
Separately, the U.S. vice president drew attention to the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant portion of international shipping passes.
J.D. Vance asserts that shipping volume through the strait has already recovered to a level exceeding half of pre-war traffic.

The U.S. House of Representatives in Washington has approved, for the third time, a resolution aimed at limiting President Donald Trump’s ability to carry out further military action against Iran. The resolution, introduced by Democrat Seth Moulton of Massachusetts, passed with 220 votes in favor and 204 against. Seven Republicans supported the resolution, defying the president’s position.
