Emporio Armani appoints Dario Vitale as creative director
The Armani fashion house announced on Wednesday, September 16, the appointment of Dario Vitale as the new creative director of the Emporio Armani line. His responsibilities will also include the creative direction of Giorgio Armani Accessories.
Vitale’s appointment
As Asharq Al-Awsat reports, Armani Group announced the appointment in a statement. The company said that Vitale became the first person outside the Armani family to hold this position.

Armani Group said that Vitale would join the group immediately. The statement described his position as creative director of Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani Accessories.
After the founder’s death
Giorgio Armani, the founder and owner of the fashion house, died last year. Vitale’s appointment was the first time that a person outside the Armani family assumed this role in the specified Armani Group divisions.
