Video: The U.S. Will Ease Sanctions Against Belarusian Companies Following Talks with Lukashenko

The U.S. plans to ease sanctions against “Lakokraska” and “Bellesbumprom.” The decision was made possible following talks between U.S. Special Envoy John Cole and Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk.

According to Cole, Belarus is to release 25 prisoners as part of the agreement. In return, the United States will lift sanctions against the aforementioned companies.

“As a gesture of goodwill, Belarus will release 25 people. The United States, in turn, will lift sanctions against two Belarusian companies—Lakokraska and Bellesbumprom,” the special envoy stated.

Cole made this announcement after meeting with Lukashenko in Minsk. The talks focused on the further release of prisoners and the easing of U.S. sanctions against Belarus.

Earlier, Belarus began military exercises near the borders of Poland and Lithuania.

As a reminder, Lukashenko expressed concern that Belarus was turning into a casino.

In the Gomel region of Belarus, near the Yakimovka station, a new military training ground is being built with railway infrastructure capable of facilitating the rapid movement of heavy equipment.
