The president of the Botev soccer club was shot dead in Bulgaria
Iliyan Filipov, president of the Bulgarian soccer club “Botev,” was killed last night. According to reports, an unknown assailant opened fire on him, resulting in his death.
The murder occurred as the businessman was returning home after his team’s game.
According to sources, Filipov was shot in the head. The businessman was shot near his home.
Law enforcement agencies are currently stopping suspicious vehicles and searching for the perpetrator.
It is noted that there is a wooded area near the residential complex where Filipov lived. Law enforcement officials believe that this is where the killer was waiting for the businessman.
Earlier in Bulgaria, an arms depot caught fire following an explosion.
