This was announced on Friday, July 17, during a special conference by Shabana Mahmoud, chair of the Labour Party’s Executive Committee.
“It is my honor to announce that Andy Burnham has been duly elected leader of the Labour Party,” she said.

The United Kingdom announced a new package of sanctions against 24 individuals and organizations involved in Russian cyber and hybrid attacks. The restrictions are aligned with the European Union’s sanctions measures.
