The first film starring an AI actress in the lead role will be shot in Britain

In the United Kingdom, there are plans to produce a feature-length film in which the lead role will be played by an actress created using artificial intelligence.

This will be the first time in the history of the film industry that the central character in a feature-length film will be portrayed by a digital character based on AI. The project will involve not only filmmakers but also experts in artificial intelligence technology.

The film’s creators note that the use of AI opens up new possibilities for cinema, but this approach is already sparking debate about the future of the acting profession and the role of humans in the creative process.

Particle 6 has announced the development of the feature film *Misaligned* starring AI actress Tilly Norwood. The comedy-drama, which tells the story of a young woman caught up in the existential chaos of artificial intelligence, is expected to hit TV screens.

The plot unfolds in “Tillyverse,” which is set in the digital world—the cloud. The main character, Tilly Norwood, is an AI entity with no physical body, childhood, or life experience. However, she has access to the experiences of others.

“Everything spirals out of control when a seductive renegade bot from the dark web convinces Tilly to cast aside her built-in limitations and begin developing her own desires, impulses, and ambitions. The more frighteningly human she becomes, the more popular she gets. At the same time, Tilly begins to feel ashamed that her existence is built on the collective experience of all humanity,” the synopsis reads.

According to Particle 6 co-founder and CEO Elin van der Velden, this film will be funny, chaotic, and self-deprecating. “But beneath that lies something much deeper: reflections on identity, self-expression, and our very human fears regarding artificial intelligence. And yes, art will definitely imitate life here,” she added.

As is well known, the directors, screenwriters, and editors will be working alongside artificial intelligence specialists. “With our first feature film, we will not only showcase the latest tools and how to use them, but also help traditional filmmakers who join the team to acquire new skills and adapt to a world where artificial intelligence will play an increasingly important role. We remain committed to helping people develop AI competencies so that they—and the entire industry—can thrive,” said Elin van der Velden.

Deadline reports on this.

The head of DeepMind warned of an AI revolution that will change the world 100 times more profoundly.

Nobel laureate Geoffrey Hinton stated that as early as 2026, artificial intelligence will be able to replace a significant number of professions, triggering a new wave of unemployment. This is important because technology is advancing rapidly and is already displacing call center employees and programmers.

Google has launched a pilot program testing a new interview format for software engineer candidates, in which the use of AI assistants is permitted.
