Two people killed in crash in Victoria state — ABC News Australia
Two people were killed in a collision involving several vehicles in Ledcourt, in the northwest of the Australian state of Victoria. Four others were injured, including a girl who is in critical condition.
Collision near Mount Drummond Road
According to ABC News, the crash occurred on the Western Highway near Mount Drummond Road at about 6:45 p.m. Victoria Police said two cars initially collided. One of them then struck the side of a truck before colliding with a third car.
The two people who died were in the third car. Their identities have not yet been officially established.

Police investigate causes of crash
Four people were in the other car. The girl sustained critical injuries, while three other injured people received assistance for non-life-threatening injuries. The truck driver was not injured and remained at the scene.
Roads in the area of the crash were closed in both directions overnight while detectives investigated the circumstances of the collision. Traffic was later restored. Police said they were considering, among other factors, the possible effects of driver fatigue, distraction or speed. Witnesses to the crash and people with CCTV or dashcam footage were urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
