The European Commission has stated that there is no fuel shortage in the EU

The European Commission has reported that there is currently no shortage of fuel or gas in the European Union, despite the war in the Middle East.

This conclusion was announced following a meeting of coordination groups attended by representatives of the European Commission, EU member states, the energy sector, and international organizations.

Officials in Brussels note that gas supplies remain stable, and the replenishment of underground storage facilities has already begun.

At the same time, the market for petroleum products and aviation fuel is adapting to limited supplies, even despite the reduction in commercial stocks due to the prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

The European Commission emphasized that the situation is under control, but EU countries should prepare for possible consequences if tensions in energy markets persist beyond May.

The Commission will continue to monitor the situation and coordinate actions with member states and international partners.

The government explained why it introduced a cashback program for fuel instead of loweringprices.

The Ministry of Economy explained whether the “National Cashback” program will continue in July.
