The Israeli Foreign Ministry stated that there is no evidence that the Panormitis was carrying Ukrainian grain

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Ukraine’s request regarding the Panormitis did not contain sufficient evidence regarding the origin of the grain on board.

The ministry noted that the Ukrainian side had sought legal assistance, but the request allegedly contained “significant gaps” and lacked confirmation that the grain could have been exported from the temporarily occupied territories.

According to the Israeli side, the police contacted the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office requesting additional information in accordance with legal requirements.

It is also reported that the bulk carrier Panormitis, which was supposed to enter an Israeli port, ultimately left the country’s territorial waters.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized that Israel acts in accordance with the principle of the rule of law and makes decisions based on current legislation.

As a reminder, Israel has called on Ukraine to provide evidence regarding the stolen grain.

In turn, Ukraine is asking Israel to seize the ship carrying the stolen grain, according to the Foreign Ministry.

Later, the ship carrying the stolen Ukrainian grain left Israel.
