Fidelity Bank Ghana donates 200,000 cedis to medical fund in Ghana
In Ghana, Fidelity Bank Ghana has donated 200,000 Ghanaian cedis (GH¢200,000) to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF). The funds are intended to help vulnerable patients with chronic non-communicable diseases access specialized medical care. This was reported by MyJoyOnline.
Support for treatment
The donation is intended for patients who face financial difficulties in paying for critically needed treatment. The bank and the fund emphasized the importance of private-sector support in overcoming gaps in access to healthcare services.

Fidelity Bank Deputy Managing Director Kwabena Boateng said during the handover of the funds that the bank considers good health an essential foundation for national development. He promised to continue supporting initiatives aimed at improving medical care and vulnerable patients’ access to necessary specialized treatment.
Fund’s response
GMTF Administrator Adjoa Obuobisa Darko-Opoku thanked the bank and described the contribution as timely assistance. She assured that the funds would be directed straight to supporting patients, helping save lives and having a lasting impact on vulnerable residents of Ghana. According to her, every contribution and every life matters.
