In Ghana, Ama, the mother of 20-year-old Ivan Baida, dedicated a farewell text to her son after his death. She called him her firstborn and wrote that he studied law at Central University and dreamed of becoming a lawyer. This was stated in an address published by MyJoyOnline.

According to Ama, her son had plans for the future, and she was waiting for his university graduation. The mother hoped to see him become a lawyer and be able to influence the lives of other people.
At the same time, she noted that the family is now preparing to say goodbye to Ivan rather than celebrate his achievements. Ama wrote that she does not understand the circumstances of her son’s death and that this uncertainty intensifies her pain.

Family memories
In her address, the mother recalled Ivan’s smile, voice and presence at home, as well as his dreams and ambitions. She wrote that she would remember their shared jokes, laughter and singing.
Ama also said that Ivan’s brothers would miss his dishes. According to her, when she was tired, her son would tell her to rest because the chef was already there. The mother called Ivan an important part of the family and said that she would cherish memories of him and tell his story.
