In Kansas, a man killed four children and their mother, then shot himself
In Winfield, Kansas, 53-year-old Ronald Williams Sr., according to law enforcement officials, killed his four children and their 44-year-old mother, Kelly George, before shooting himself. In total, the bodies of six people were found in the house.
According to The Guardian, on Tuesday morning, Williams called the police and said he had killed his entire family and was going to shoot himself. When law enforcement officers arrived at the house, they heard a gunshot. The police backed off, established a perimeter, and treated the situation as a standoff.
Shortly after 11:00 a.m., a SWAT team forced open the door to the house. Inside, they found the bodies of Williams, Kelly George, and four children: nine-year-old Carol Williams, seven-year-old Ronald Williams Jr., five-year-old Sarah Williams, and three-year-old Kelly Maggie Williams.

Winfield Police Chief Robbie DeLong reported that over the past few weeks, the department had received complaints about Williams’ aggressive behavior, including altercations and yelling at people in public places. Police also responded to reports of gunfire near the family’s home but were unable to determine the source.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation stated that the motive for the killings has not yet been determined. Investigators plan to interview neighbors and people who knew Williams. Psychological support is being made available to local and state police officers.
