A woman rescued after being trapped under rubble for 37 hours has died in Colombia — AFP
In the Colombian city of Pereira, 32-year-old Daniela Largo died after rescue workers pulled her from the rubble following nearly 37 hours trapped beneath it following a powerful earthquake. Her family told AFP that she died from her injuries.
Largo was pulled from the rubble on Tuesday. Her rescue was met with shouts of joy and applause. According to AFP, she became a symbol of hope for the country following the natural disaster that struck on Monday.

Daniela Largo died on Friday. She is survived by her 12-year-old son. Her mother, Sandra Milena Pérez, told AFP that she wants all of this to end as soon as possible.
According to authorities, at least 294 people were killed in the earthquake, and nearly 4,000 more were injured. Rescue workers continue to search for at least 320 people who are considered missing, the emergency management agency reported. In the hardest-hit areas, workers are using heavy equipment to clear debris from roofs and walls.
