Manchester City sign winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras
English club Manchester City have confirmed the signing of 22-year-old Brazilian winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras. The footballer signed a five-year contract with the club and became the team’s sixth new arrival during the summer transfer window.

As Channel NewsAsia reports, citing Reuters, media reports say that Manchester City agreed to pay around €40 million for the player — approximately $47 million. Elias is a graduate of the academy of the São Paulo-based club and made 96 appearances for Palmeiras’ first team.
Elliot Anderson, Geronimo Rulli, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Jeremy Monga and Pierce Charles have also joined Manchester City during this transfer window.

Manchester City director of football Hugo Viana said that Elias is a promising player and should strengthen the squad. According to him, the footballer has already demonstrated in his short career a desire to improve.
Elias called the move to the English club the proudest moment of his life. The Florianópolis-born footballer said he hopes to become another Brazilian in the Premier League and follow the example of Gabriel Jesus, Ederson and Fernandinho, who won the English championship with Manchester City.
