Latvia publishes schedule for October 3 parliamentary elections — LSM English
One month remains until Latvia’s elections to the 15th Saeima, scheduled for October 3, 2026. On voting day, polling stations will be open from 08:00 to 20:00 local time. Voting abroad will also take place during the same hours.
As LSM English reports, registration for postal voting began on August 29. Voters can register for this voting method until September 25.
Early voting
Early voting will take place from September 28 to October 2. Voters will be able to cast their ballots at any polling station in Latvia. On Monday and Wednesday, polling stations will be open from 17:00 to 20:00; on Tuesday and Thursday, from 08:00 to 11:00; and on Friday, from 12:00 to 15:00.

Throughout September, election commission staff will receive training and election materials will be delivered. From September 8, Latvian Radio will begin offering free five-minute airtime slots for political campaigning by parties.
Campaign and results
On September 14, election programs and candidate lists will be finally published on the website of the Central Election Commission and in the official publication Latvijas Vēstnesis. Public campaigning will end on October 2, and campaign materials must be removed from public spaces and the media.
Preliminary election results are expected to be announced on October 4. The first sitting of Latvia’s 15th Saeima is scheduled for November 3.
