Nordic Resilience Summit 2026 takes place in Latvia
On September 10, the second Nordic Resilience Summit 2026 is taking place at the National Library of Latvia, focusing on crisis preparedness and societal resilience. As LSM English reports, the event brings together experts, business and public-sector representatives, as well as defense specialists and practitioners from the Baltic and Nordic countries.
Summit topics
The summit program focuses on three areas: leadership and societal resilience, the role of business in strengthening crisis preparedness, and cooperation between the military and civilian sectors.
Jānis Vanags, a board member of CIREN, the organization holding the event, said that crisis preparedness must be translated into practical action. According to him, the exchange of experience and different perspectives makes it possible to reassess existing approaches and seek more effective ways to prepare for future crises.

Participants and final session
Among the announced participants are Edward Lucas, founder of the Baltic International Security Centre; Helelin Tammsaar, an anthropologist and specialist in applied behavioral science; and Atlantic Council expert Elisabeth Braw.
The summit will run from 09:00 to 13:00 and will be livestreamed. The event will conclude with a workshop presenting the guide Preparing Businesses for War in Frontline Countries, intended to help organizations in Europe strengthen their own resilience.
