A Ukrainian drone crashed in Lithuania — Ministry of Defense
Lithuanian Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas confirmed that the drone that crashed and was found on May 17 in the Utena district originated in Ukraine. According to him, it was a Ukrainian drone that crashed on Lithuanian territory. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
He made this statement on Thursday, May 21, as reported by LRT.
According to the minister, the drone that entered the country’s airspace had strayed off course. It should be noted that later, members of the “Aras” counterterrorism unit discovered that there were explosive materials at the site where the drone was found.
"Yes, this is a Ukrainian drone that went off course. The investigation is ongoing," he said.
